The school's parents and friends committee organised the event, which was held at the Mole Creek Memorial Hall.

More than 100 people turned up to test their brains and participate in the auction between trivia rounds.

It was the first time the committee members had held the event.

"We couldn't have fit any more in if we tried, I don't think," committee member Donna How said.

Ms How said items for auction included store vouchers, a feeder bin, bottles of wine and a night's accommodation at Peppers Calstock.

Deloraine and Mole Creek businesses were major donors and supporters of the event.

"Big and small, there was something for everyone," she said.

Ms How said the committee was grateful for the community's support.

"So on behalf of the Mole Creek Primary School and the parents and friends committee, we would like to sincerely thank everyone who donated goods and vouchers to auction off on the night," Ms How said.

"We would also like to thank the people in our community who came to support us on the night."

Ms How said a lot of the money raised would go towards subsidising school camps, as well as buying playground equipment.

"The grade 5-6 pupils go to Hobart one year and Melbourne the next, so a lot of that is through community fund-raising," she said.
