Festival celebrates nature

16 Jan, 2012 01:00 AM
DANCING in the forest among the whispering trees with not a care in the world but the sounds of nature and the tunes of a band.

If you have never tried it - maybe it's time.

The Jackeys Marsh Forest Festival celebration is getting set to feature some exciting entertainment this summer.

A diverse and exciting music program that brings together musicians and performers from all over the country has been organised.

Interactive workshops, hands on activities and a special children's precinct are also included.

Festival publicity co-ordinator Lisa Yeates expects this year's turnout to exceed previous numbers.

"With such a high quality line-up of acts, and a huge variety of family- focused, environmental and arts- based activities, we are sure to see record numbers this year," Ms Yeates said.

Bands include; The Bombay Royale, Mista Savona, The Woohoo Revue, Max Savage and the False Idols. For more information visit www.forestfestival.org
