WESTBURY will celebrate the coming of spring with the Westbury Garden Club's annual Spring Flower Show.
Club president Pat Badcock said she expected about 200 people to attend.
She said the money raised at the show would cover the event's expenses and any leftover funds would go back into the club.
"Usually it pays for a bus trip to visit other gardens during Christmas time and there is other things that we donate to around the area, especially in relation to gardening," Mrs Badcock said.
Mrs Badcock said Rob Reid, of Devon Hills, would open the show and present the prizes.
"He is very good with composting and he is in charge of a seed company with my nephew, and they go all over the world to gather different seeds to bring back and try to grow them here and see what does best," she said.
There will be a colourful array of daffodils, camellias, trumpets, pink belledonnas and many more varieties on display, after competing for the title of fanciest flower.
Cut flowers, floral art and pot plants will also be on display.
Mrs Badcock said she enjoyed being a part of the club because she could listen to interesting guest speakers at meetings and socialise with people of similar interests.
The flower show will be held on Saturday at the Uniting Church Hall from 2.30-4pm. Entry costs $2.
