Guitar maestro to play Deloraine

19 Dec, 2011 12:00 AM
SPANISH guitarist Andrew Veivers "must eat gypsy hearts for breakfast" says one reviewer.

The formally trained musician, described as one of Australia's leading Spanish guitarists, is heading to Deloraine on January 13.

Audiences are sure to be mesmerised at a special concert performance at Gallery 9, brought by Arts Deloraine.

"I am looking forward to presenting my first concert in Deloraine," Veivers said.

"I've heard so much about ... the deep appreciation the local community has for world and classical music.

"This concert is an opportunity to present Deloraine with my solo compositions and arrangements and some of the stories behind them."

Veivers draws on a wide range of musical influences to evoke the sensual sounds of the Spanish guitar in all its guises.
