LIP ticklers, flavour savours, a follicular facial feature that can make or break the wearer's image.

The humble moustache has helped a group of dedicated Meander Valley Mo Bros raise almost $4500 for men's health, specifically prostate cancer and depression in men.

Bush Inn bar manager Rick Lee said the fund-raising efforts of the 17 "mo-bros" was fantastic.

Each person was encouraged to raise at least $200 for the cause.

"It is easy to do," Mr Lee said.

"If you raise $200 each that is $50 a week.

"If you can't raise that much money between your family and people you know you are probably not trying hard enough.

"It is all about what we did as a group ... we showed how much you can achieve from just a small effort from one person."

In the end, members of the team exceeded their $200 goal.

Mr Lee moved from Hobart four months ago to work at the Bush Inn with co-manager Michael Sheehan.

A fund-raising trend has since ensured at the Bush Inn with staff also donating their tips from October to breast cancer research.
